I need to head to Bruxelles for an event, but the most direct way would be boring. So I am going to Bayerisch Eisenstein, the village where the Germany-Czechia border runs through the middle of the railway station building. I have only approached it from the German side before. Nice routes on wooded lines are in prospect! #CrossBorderRail

@drmakimber there are only 5 active #CrossBorderRail lines in the EU I’ve not been to 😀 4 in the Baltics, 1 Italy-Vatican!

Also credit to the designers of the Stadler RS1. It’s about the only train you can put a folding bike on an overhead rack safely, because the racks are huge and sturdy. #CrossBorderRail
