@NoDoxGregBrady @jb A small conflict with Venezuela/drug cartels would be helpful in testing some new weapons system and finding weak spots in those branches involved. If there is going to be a break down on naval ships when under stress, you want that to happen down there, in the Western hemisphere, close to port, and when you're up against a tiny foe, not when you're fighting Iran.

@NoDoxGregBrady @jb What problem they face is even if they want to do that they have a lot of people in power brought in which are not explicitly in the "conspiracy" but merely adapted to the rewards/punishments and they would fight against it and have to be purged. That would take a a fair amount of resources for them to walk back something that they did and would do again. So I do not think it will happen, merely they just try to clean it up just enough to spin it to get their golem back into the fight.
