As Democrats consider the 2028 nomination process they must stop their actions to influence the outcome. Their rigging of primaries both leads to poor candidates & alienates many potential voters. They also must learn to stop blaming voters who reject their candidates--that is not how democracy works.

@rchusid there should be a party rule that no elected or official party member (outside of the candidate and their staff if they are running for reelection) can endorse, advocate for or get involved in any primary at any level.

@wjmaggos The problem is that the party has been breaking their own rules to influence primary results in some ways. In other ways, party rules are written to influence the outcome.

@rchusid yeah I don't think keeping the parties ultimately makes sense. imo FFV #RankedChoiceVoting fixes all these problems over time.

@wjmaggos Ranked Choice Voting would help in terms of making it easier for third parties, somewhat compensating for bad choices from the major parties. We also need multirepresentative legislative districts to enable more views to be represented.
