@Yuki If the courts regularly ruled that the Charter had anti-liberal implications — e..g, private health care must be allowed to ensure "security of the person" — we'd find that Liberal and NDP governments would be more open to using the #NotwithstandingClause as well.In answer to an earlier post, my understanding is that S. 33 was added because the ROC premiers wanted to maintain the principle of parliamentary supremacy; I don't think René Lévesque wanted it.@VE2UWY @EdwinG @Canadian_Eh
