       @cjd @newman @matthew The more I see those news and policy proposals about internet and privacy, the more I just feel like closing in localhost and just live life far away from the mainstream.  You know, finding pleasure in doing things like traditional clay plastering or simply mowing the grass…..

       Well, you're kind of lucky in NL because your government just went ahead and held an election. That's something the UK and DE governments (and maybe FR?) are flatly refusing to do, and in the case of the UK, it looks as though it might be the next shoe to drop in this long drawn out WW3 saga.

       @cjd @newman @matthew Indeed I’m very lucky both with my living situation but also with the fact dutch politics are so defragmented which means you always need to seek compromise . Also the govs fall for really peanuts when comparing to scandals in other countries. but that doesn’t mean that fucked up policies are not pushed left and right and the screw is being constantly tightened just like everywhere else. More subtle, and not so much in your face, but as effective.
