it feels kind of emblematic of the state of technology that the answer to "i want to take a 10x zoom picture with my 1mm wide lens smartphone camera but its too blurry :(" is "here's what our ai model thinks it should look like :)" instead of "sorry that's physically impossible"

@gregatron5 @bartholin @operand To be fair if there would be a camera with this kind of resolution it would probably either use several independant lens tracts and sensors or data from the huge sensor would be likely only read partly. No need to cache all that when it's not rcecorded and the human can't see it anyway. Images on maps are displayed with similar blur before the higher res images are fetched.
