       @judgedread It's easy to think, Naw. They're not going to give us that. It will be worse.But look at the change in the last 125 years in health, convenience, ability to travel, entertainment. There have been down sides but imagine a similar delta in the next 100 years. Or 30 years with acceleration.It could happen.

       A lot depends on how it goes down. What jobs will disappear, and will those people find something else to earn a living? Assuming it results in some abundance, will it go into the pockets of the jews, will it be used to import more leaches to soak it up, or will normal people see any benefit?

       @petra Team B techbros are risking severe vibe collapse if they're planning a rug pull. I believe they're sincere. I think they agree with Kurzweil and Bostrom - machine superintelligence will generate a massive economic boom. Think the economy doubling in size each year as the staggering efficiencies and productivity of mature genetic engineering, nanotechnology and nuclear physics become available. Never mind the power of all that compute and robotics.

       @judgedread @petra The issue at hand is lets say there are radically productivity boosts due via tech? AI would replace low skill workers, and then high skill workers would be integrated in with AI, which if we are being honest would be 1-2+ standard deviations up on IQ. So what happens to those phased out of work how would they participate in the economy? Now they have been quite generous with invaders but I suspect the idea of giving white families money for free would turn their stomachs so much they would not do so no matter the fallout. Do you really think they would opt into UBI?
