started eating boneless fillet only recently but today I decided to go with this fancy priced tin of sardines, trying skin on and bone in for first time. these whole pieces are huge compared to the fillets I’ve been getting! I split them in half and ngl I was unable to stomach still eating the spine so I removed it to the side…I spread spicy mayo on a cracker and put the sardine on top. tasted great and overall better than the boneless skinless fillets that are more dry to me

@vitalis@dirtyknight.life the bones are delicious tho, well, it's just more fish but the texture is pretty nice

@vitalis yeah I like skin on but de-boned personally. The skin takes some getting used to, but the texture is much better overall.

@prettygood @vitalis I like bone in because I use fish filet in my Bolognese sauce. The bones help the texture in a weird way

@Paultron-3030 @vitalis they also add a lot of calcium to the nutritional value, but I get plenty of that as it is

@vitalis I love Fishwife. I have either their rainbow trout or Szechuan pepper salmon on rice for lunch fairly often. The trout would be great on crackers, though it’s less consistently moist than the salmon is.
