Just by stopping or rejecting their verification.- Self-written enterprise software, Fuck You! I bet a lot of businesses may have issues with it. It with self-compiled software. Imagine that your new Zebra handheld scanner doesn't let you install your business app. Businesses may be really angry- Second point is even worse for sanctioned (in US) countries by the way, because their developers may not be able to verify.- Imagine trade war and US sanctioning the European Union. Yeah. Bye-bye digital sovereignty.

       @darkcat09 @yura Even knowing how to install custom ROMs, I for example have to use stock android just because there isn't a proper custom ROM on my device, only GSI generic one that breaks some functionality.Buying a new one is expensive, budget phones have MTK chips that are practically incompatible with custom roms, and since newly bought ones are under warranty and installing roms may break warranty (people don't take it seriously but like, I am not thrilled at potentially having to lose a sizeable amount of money because of some rare hardware fault).And even apart from that and from that people are tech-savvy - there are a lot of apps that require Goolag services and don't work well with MicroG or whatever, and if for some reason you just have to use them - you'll not be getting Goolag-less phone.

       @yura I have some points to add:- F-Droid is screwed- Compiling apps from source? you are screwed- Devs are forced to use ADB, or screwed- Any app that Google may not like is screwed (youtube revanced, newpipe, adblocks)- Any app that Google already blocked from playstore (including big names like Fortnite, and a lot of smaller stuff) is screwed- I am not sure how it works, but unless they send the entire whitelist of signatures to the phone or change how their signatures work, it will require internet connection. If you try to install stuff during outage by sharing APK, or if you want to use your device without internet connection at all - you are screwed
