@SuperDicq @MonotoneofBill It wasn't - the average is greatly skewed by infant mortality.Most of the cave enjoyers who made it to 15, made it to 50-60.

@MonotoneofBill No, as the reason why baby and adult teeth exist is that the baby jaw will not fit adult-sized teeth and how baby teeth are not suitable for an adult.It would have made sense if teeth were to simply regrow if they fell out and all the genetic information needed is there - but mammals have a defect where the teeth don't regrow.Polyphyodont's have teeth that grow back, which includes most toothed fishes and crocodiles.

@Mamako @MonotoneofBill @SuperDicq Caves are the most free things there are - unfortunately inhabiting a cave in the forest can be difficult, as it is likely that some hiker will eventually come along and fail to mind his own damn business and call the cops on you (and they'll gladly come beat you up and put you in prison on some bogus charge).
