       spent the entire day fixing an issue with a customer's Power Apps automation, originally developed by my department head.first had to call the customer because the account was MFA'd to his phone.then had to discover wtf Power Apps is (it's part of Office365 and lets you automate stuff, through a web interface that's like a straitjacket soaked in treacle)then had to reverse-engineer what my colleague had come up with - it was a "horse's arse" and "almost killed him" and the bloodstains were still visibleby the end of the day I'd found what was going wrong (it was helpfully retrying a non-idempotent stored procedure) and found how to make it a) not retry, b) have a sensible timeout, and c) send an email if the timeout exceeded or some other failure occurs

       I think I'd have been able to make an API endpoint that does the same job (take an esoteric fixed-width file and create payment records if they're not already present) with less time and effort
