@Alon @crzwdjk in more eastern slavic languages, smetana is always sour, this is not the case in czech, the "default" smetana in cz is sweet, sour one has a specific adjective (and you'd not want it in coffee)

@pony @Alon @crzwdjk fun finnish facts!in finland, smetana is sour cream with high fat content. middle amount of fat content is "french cream", ranskankerma (sometimes also written 'creme fraiché'), and sour cream with low fat is kermaviili
