       @prau @jf_718 Nah. Unions have made a big difference for me. Are there flaws at times, naturally. However simply working in a job where there are unions, even if you aren't a member means the wages and benefits are much better. Good stuff.

       @jf_718 Honestly, I'll never respect a union again based on personal experience. They do jack shit to protect disabled workers. When layoffs come, we're always put on the chopping block, especially as totally blind people because they "can't help us find anything" in the company. I want ALL my union dues back, and the bagman who claimed to have my back imprisoned for life for the con artist he was. Unions are a joke these days. I get they benefit some people, but as they've never helped my people, they're a joke worthy of ridicule.

       @futurebird @jf_718 It was the union representing Seattle Public Library when my branch, The Talking book & braille Library, transitioned over to the state. They offered all the sighted folks new jobs, but myself and other blind employees were forced to take a massive pay cut as the city had nothing for us.
