       The idea of the "cicada" is great. People who only write occasionally when they have something important to say. It acknowledges that much of what the #substack puts out is filling space. To justify a paid subscription.        @wjmaggos @coachtony yeah I find I’m subscribed to some substacks that frankly I rarely want to read. I know why the creator wants a recurring subscription but I only want or have time for a very limited and occasional engagement.

       @wjmaggos @coachtony @rabble I would not mind subscribing to a creator who charges per item whenever it drops. Like a great reporter dropping in=depth stories once every few weeks or months and I'm being charged x amount automatically when it becomes available
