@m0xEE i was missing the reference. i thought you were ranking search terms only. i was into fischerspooner and other electroclash. probably how i also like postpunk. a lot of those rich sounds originate from our regions. 🎩as for questions. i think alaska likely has sams. its a vast space with good physics and shortened curvature to potential areas. im not an expert. but its reasonable. mediatek chips. that's a tough one. im guessing here but because intel used to be very expensive (still are higher priced since they are stable) an alternative was needed. its been years of driver "fun" since then. 🕵

@contaminase @m0xEE one of the most influential groups among his other work. ofc bela lugosi is iconic but their catalog is all good to me. postpunk is very relaxing. and if you investigate 🕵 newer genres (synthwave, darkwave, phonk, dark techno, some dub) you can see early postpunk influence.

@jae@darkdork.dev @contaminase@bsd.cafeI think I now remember where my frustration towards Mediatek chips come from: when I get bored, but too tired to engage in more entertaining pastimes, I start browsing GSMArena. And I get frustrated when I see a device that's almost perfect* otherwise, but it has some weird Mediatek chip, which means it's unlikely to have "custom ROMs" and the one it comes with is likely to be buggy.But I suppose in this role I'm like those who are bad at parenting and say things like "Why can't you just be normal?" — without "weird chips" these devices are unlikely to have an SD card slot or a 3.5mm jack.In this one I particularly like the "6+6 Gb" thing — I think the text under the asterisk should read: "You don't actually have this RAM, it just wears your storage down". Otherwise it looks pretty cool for a $100 phone — but in any case it turned out not having a hole you can plug normal headphones into, so nothing to worry about, they could've as well used the SnappyDragon.* — as far as devices running Android go

@m0xEE @contaminase the song started off like websdr listening for tones :-) i was thinking mediatek specifically for network cards, didn't think to tie it to a phone. phones are weird things, m0xee. i still have my pixel with graphene but am starting to not use it at all. too many weird choices of hardware, software updates, and having to deal with drama around ecosystems makes me wonder "why does my heart hurt?"
