       Anyone here that lives in LA and uses Metro? I cannot find what I'd think would be the simplest of maps: one that contains streets and roads, but also Metro stops and stations. Every Metro "map" is an abstract schematic, completely devoid of any physical information. Example: I'm home.  I want to get to 1234 Main St. What line station is closest to that address? All of the map apps attempt to get me step by step... All o need to know is which is the closest station.  I'll figure out re there.

       @tomjennings Does it not work to center yourself on the destination address in google maps and then search for metro station?

       @mitten The transit layer sometimes shows some reil stations but leaves many out! "Metro stations near (address)" shows businesses with "ststion" in the name. The sliding lost at top, restaurants etc, no transit or related, and nothing under "more" all the way to the right. On Android phone, where I need this. My intent is to use my ebike and light rail. Google maps is deteriorating in usefulness.

       @MLE_online That specifically doesn't work. I drop a pin by navigating to address. Then a search for metro ststion forgets that pin. Maddening. Android phone.

       @amoroso G maps transit layer shows the line but not stations until you zoom in enough; I know to do that but it's extremely unhelpful especially when lookong for overview.  The whole thing is maddening.  And I'm so surprised Metro doesn't have an actual map!

       @tomjennings unless i'm missing something, apple maps does this very well. i ask for transit directions (or even just walking) and it shows me the transit stop i need to start on, and then the stop i need to get off atit's not a simple flat map showing all metro and street overlap, but it's like a one-off instant map showing just what i need for this trip

       @mitten I'm running grapheneOS. I wonder if that matters to Google maps.
