apple homepods are worse than sonos which was terribleit is not possible to send audio to homepods outside of apple music and podcast appsfor example, i'm playing music on safari ipad and it is not possible to send audio to my $300 dollar homepodfucking unbelievable

i eventually figured out how to do it, but i'm not new to my devices. been using apple devices since 1986! i used to do systems administration. and i had to resort to a web search to figure out the most basic of things. it gest better...i had already done the web search before posting, and it was apple's support pages that made me surrender, because they said, to airplay from ipad "open apple music, podcast, or other audio app" which implies that non-audio apps like safari can't do it

@tomjennings @jerod23 @chris way back when i used to subscribe to zines and magazines, the first thing i always read were the letters sections. of particular interest were threads the spanned multiple issuesi've blogged a lot over the years and have never been able to get comments working like that

@tomjennings unless i'm missing something, apple maps does this very well. i ask for transit directions (or even just walking) and it shows me the transit stop i need to start on, and then the stop i need to get off atit's not a simple flat map showing all metro and street overlap, but it's like a one-off instant map showing just what i need for this trip
