       The sheer amount of money that is going into AI infrastructure is terrifying. It is not that I believe that these systems are inherently evil. What scares me, however, is that even though AI is not delivering on most of the promises that its proponents make, it exists in a colossal form now. What is it going to do for people and the economy? What is it actually good for? What problems does it solve? The answers that I see are dwarf-like when compared to the resources spent to build it.

       @hanshuebnerFrom what I've seen so far, it solves nothing, just makes lying to others and oneself more efficient. (At a great cost to the environment.)
