I need a new democratic congressmen. We need to primary Torres. But who?The name Michael Blake keeps floating around and I don't know who that is. Thoughts on Michael Blake?What matters most to me is that they are from the Bronx, live here and pay attention to local issues such as asthma caused by too much traffic, school funding (we have a LOT of kids and not enough schools)Funding parks, public transportation, libraries.Also pro-union please.

Also if you know of someone I should research please tell me. I plan on volunteering for this primary. So I want to hunt around and find the best canidate.I do mailing list management and outreach planning. I would love to hook up with a candidate committed to doing some shoe leather research to find out what the south bronx cares about most. But they *do* need to have some basic core values if I'm going to help.Torres did not have values.

@futurebird He was on the WFP slate for mayor and cross-endorsed with Mamdani for the primary. He also endorsed Mamdani for the general.His campaign website for mayor does have a lot of info ( https://blakefornyc.com/ ). Though I will admit that I only learned about him through an Olayemi Olurin YT video on the mayoral primary (he was one of the five she suggested to rank, on top of saying to not rank Cuomo).

@futurebird I was hoping (and still am as it’s been talked about ) that Jamaal Bowman challenged Torres. Blake was born in the Bronx though and would be a huge bump up from Torres…granted that’s a very low bar on my opinion
