       @johnmacintosh I vaguely remember that style of gas pump. A gravity feed from a glass cylinder that like a kitchen measure had marks on it. A hand pump would pump fuel into the chamber to the desired mark (in gallons), and gravity would drain it into your car tank. The grain elevator my father ran had one for awhile before it was replaced with an electric pump model. Early 1950s I think.

       @stargazersmith Yes, you pump the gasoline-oil mixture into the glass bottle and hope that the gas station attendant has mixed it properly beforehand🫣😉
