       I've stated before and I can't emphasize enough how pervasive the fear of urban areas is on the far right.        "The Hellscapes of Their Minds" is a perfect way to describe the disconnect with reality. They want so desperately to see the other half of the country as murderous wastelands they'll ignore any evidence to the contrary.

       @nomadnewyork @paulknightly A few days back I was walking by the court house in the Bronx and these black cars with flashing lights came in fast in a line. *Everyone* on the sidewalk, like three dozen people stopped and many people looked alarmed. A few people started walking to where the cares were going. "Is that ICE?" people were asking. "It better not be."Then someone who worked at the court house explained it was a prison transfer for some big trial. Everyone calmed down.

       @nomadnewyork @paulknightly ICE has already been here, mostly camping out at the immigration courts to try to snatch people when they are going to do their paperwork. Beyond evil. There is a protest that kept getting bigger by that courthouse but I guess people thought they were going to try it in the Bronx too.In the Bronx ICE has continued to do what started under Obama, going for criminal convictions, but they have also grabbed extra random people when going to pick up a person.

       @nomadnewyork @paulknightly I think they must realize that visible actions will set everyone off, so it's been very sneaky. Resistance does work. No one wants to try to deal with an angry crowd or get splashed all over social media. I'm still worried they will try to pull something bigger and use it drive more disruption. But really, we are not interested in this here in NYC. So why do it here?

       @futurebird @paulknightly For sure, they are already here, especially where I live they have been very active. No raids yet besides Canal St, mostly smash and grabs. They seem to be seeking out specific people although they have randomly stopped people asking for documentation and kidnapping them and have started going door to doorActive planning and organizing has been taking place for months. I like to think that we are ready
