       My fellow Usian leftists, including folk myself would typically look to for challenging and thought-provoking takes, really are salivating over Mamdani.Like this mayoral nominee in a conservative town, that many Usians don't even recognize as culturally of the same country, is the chosen one of some scifi fantasy novel who validates every opinion and position the left has ever held.Kayfabe panto really is a powerful drug.[But then, it's the first estate, so one might as well say opiate.]

       @beadsland There are so few politicians who are ... tolerable. He's fine. In a better world he'd be "average" not the most amazing thing ever.Also, he's not very radical at all. Which is fine, I want him to be able to govern the city and not just have to fight all the time.
