       It remains to be seen whether #Trump will actually go ahead with trying to fire #JeromePowell, a move that some in his admin have cautioned could be calamitous & have far more expansive fallout than Trump appears to anticipate.Trump has in recent weeks called on Powell to resign, saying he has not done enough to lower #InterestRates. But as recently as Friday Trump said he had no plans to fire Powell, despite saying the #FederalReserve chair was doing a “terrible job.”#law #economy

       @Nonilex Personally, I think Trump wants a convenient pre-villainized scapegoat for the inevitable fallout from his idiotic tariffs a whole lot more than he wants find what would happen if interest rates got lowered. So my guess is that he'll keep on trash-talking Powell but not attempt to fire him.
