       Ordered a whole genome sequencing test today! I realized they're cheap enough now that one can simply do that, curious to take a peek at my DNA 🧬  I'm just old enough to have been following along when the Human Genome Project was completed in 2003, at a cost of ~$3 billion. The kit I ordered cost me €400.From an IT perspective technological advancement in other fields often seems glacially slow, because working with atoms is so much harder-- but it sure happens nonetheless!

       @Librus107 I ended up going with Dante Labs, which is the one I could find here in Europe; most of them are AmericanI did find various negative reviews from people saying their results were delayed for ages, but I'm not in a hurry so that doesn't worry me too muchThis was the page that persuaded me https://arep.med.harvard.edu/gmc/genome_services.html Because that is some super legit academic web design :ww: If/when I get the results I shall report on the validity!
