       Upgrade to #mastodon v4.4.0 was a little bumpy...That's a lot of dependencies that needed updating (a few of which didn't have new enough versions in Ubuntu's repos).2.5hrs of asset pre-compilation.Some bumpy db migrations.But got there in the end 🥳

       @mrcippy Yeah, running it outside of docker is so much more hard work... I should probably move it over sometime, but some masochistic part of my brain finds picking through the issues a fun learning exercise.

       @solarisfire I did that for a year running it on a Pi. And I hated every update. When the SD card failed, it was a blessing and my chance to move to docker. Haven’t looked back

       @mrcippy I'm running on a Hetzner auction server, but on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS, so will need to jump ship before 2027 at some point... Not looking forward to that... but will probably move mastodon into docker at that point.Or I might have just given up and moved everything into a k8s cluster by then.
