so i was trying to uncock this rifle, right, and i accidentally figured out how to remove the bolt, which is something i'd been noodling on since i got the rifle like 4 years ago. It'll get a deep clean here in a bit. The rifle's older than your mom, no instruction manual.usually when i start using special bits to remove fasteners, springs go flying, i lose the fasteners, etc. Since the rifle was operable, and smooth action, i didn't try very hard to remove the bolt.

@picofarad Looks like you have an 86C, rather than an 860. A quick google suggests that manuals are not available for free (one site claims it is available if you pay) but the good news is that removing the bolt is probably the only disassembly you want to do anyway, other than just removing the stock if you need to clean under the wood.Aerosol RemOIl is perfect for these old girls - no need to disassemble when you can just hose the mechanism down to clean and lube.
