       Thom Tillis can't take the MAGA party anymore and won't be running for re-election. North Carolina has a Democratic governor, 2 Republican senators, and had a 7/7 split in its House delegation before the state legislature gerrymandered it to be 10-4 R in early redistricting. 2026 will be an uphill battle for Democrats to flip the Senate, but this particular seat just got easier with no incumbent.
