For the record, the 2021 mayoral primary had 942k votes (and people weren't super excited about it, either). I expect we'll surpass that tonight?For tonight's primary, we're currently at 412k votes counted.

So here's where we get to test cross endorsements. Any candidate that gets > 50% is the clear winner. Without that, you start dropping candidates from the race & look at second choice rankings.With 80% of results in, Mamdani is at 43%. To cross the 50% threshold, he would need another 55k votes. Lander has 105k votes. If Lander gets dropped but at least half of the people in that list ranked Lander #1 & Mamdani #2, Mamdani would win. Remember, they cross-endorsed & campaigned together.

@qkslvrwolf @Andres4NY I always vote, and Cuomo sent me 8 ugly glossy fliers. Called me twice and had three people on the corner littering all over the place with more paper nobody wanted. And he had a bunch of miserable people doing fliers who clearly didn't care and were being paid $8 an hour to stand in 100 degree heat. None of the fliers said anything that I cared about at all. Not one.
