👋 Ok Fedi hive mind I need help pleaseFor many reasons, I hate AI but, is it effective, I mean, does it work to use AI to detect AI deep fakes ?Asking because I came across this website: 👇 Check it out #Fediverse #Tech #Mastodon #SocialMedia #Video #DeepFake #Computer #Art https://usefulai.com/tools/ai-video-detectors

@SnowshadowII I tried some random AI detectors but they were very different in their conclusion so they probably were mostly bad.. but maybe this list has some good ones.. I hope because it's needed badly sometimes!

@bazkie It's truly becoming difficult to know what is what any more. I don't like this problem.

@SnowshadowII@beige.party @bazkie@beige.partyIn the most generic cases, they are probably good enough, but I expect human experts to be still better at it as they likely know artefacts and irregularities specific to particular models and can tell it in a less probabilistic manner.Neural networks aren't THAT bad — they can't be used to make final judgement, that is true, but they are still very good in "better than nothing" situations and when batch-processing large amounts of data — although there are still false-positives and this should be taken into account 🤷
