Tankers means fighters will transfer from stateside to overseas next. Maybe for a precision airstrike campaign. If they hope for that to have any success at all, they better have a really, really good understanding of Iran's air defenses, much of which is likely provided by bigger and more capable nations. It's not just the average, run-of-the-mill country with hand-me-down gear from four wars ago.I sure wouldn't want to be a pilot flying in that area.

There’s no way to tell. Also possible US is serving a support-only role, i.e. America will refuel Israeli craft (many of which we “sold” them) but not engage directly.“Oy gevalt Iran, we’re not involved!
