Have you looked at @bonfire as a potential back-end for Frequency?https://bonfirenetworks.org/posts/bonfire_social_rc/It's designed more for social networks than publishing and commenting, and builds in the concept of posting to 'circles' (groups of accounts).        @strypey @bonfire I looked into it a while ago when they were still early days and wasn’t sure it was quite suited for my needs back then given its focus on researchers, but it has come a long way since then! I need to play around with it again and see if it’s a better fit now. Thanks for the suggestion!
