On 13 June 1912 Hanna Sheehy Skeffington and a group of suffragettes smashed windows in Dublin Castle to highlight the cause of women’s right to vote. It was an offence for which she would spent a month in prison.#Ireland #IrishHistory #HannaSheehySkeffington #Dublin #Suffragettes #WomensRights #OnThisDay

I think there is somewhat charming, and possibly quite Irish, to put a plaque up to somebody who smashed windows. Could you see the English doing the same? Happy to be proved wrong.
