So we are about to lose access to WhatsApp, Apple and Facebook in the UK. @penguin42 Very much on the point. They have got themselves in a hole on this one. It will be humiliating for them if these companies pull out of the UK. There's Wikipedia and presumably large parts of the rest of the internet (Twitter, Reddit?) as well.

Alan Turing died by suicide on 7 June 1954. Turing was convicted of gross indecency in 1952 and given a choice between imprisonment and probation. His probation would be conditional on his agreement to undergo hormonal physical changes designed to reduce his libido. Turing's conviction led to the removal of his security clearance and barred him from continuing with his consultancy for GCHQ. James Joyce first met the love of his life, Nora Barnacle, in Dublin on 10 June 1904. It was not until 16 June that they had their first romantic liaison. On 20 June 1967 Muhammad Ali was convicted for refusing the Vietnam Draft. The judge handed down the maximum sentence to Cassius Clay (as they insisted upon calling him in court): five-years in a federal penitentiary and a $10,000 fine.
