Android 16 update time. According to the notes my Pixel is getting better by adding AI mode through Gemini on the home screen and some animations, and only 1.29 GB in size for these amazing improvements I'll neither use nor notice.

It downloaded the update and it's now been "optimising" my device for about the last fifteen minutes with no movement on the progress bar. It paused once for no reason whatsoever until I clicked the "Resume, because why the fuck did you stop installing, you piece of crap?" button. It shouldn't be this painful to update software.

The phone update took about 70 minutes in total. There is no noticeable change in appearance or major functionality but I have just played around with the VIP contacts thingy for a couple of minutes before consigning that to the bin.

@Haikyoneko Having seen a friend go through that experience recently and hit problem after problem, limitation after limitation, no thanks.
