       I cannot overstate how much I hate the short character limits on most instances here. It does not make people post short, concise messages (as if brevity is even a thing I’d want to optimise for) it makes people post essays as sequences of 47 toots.  Which then all appear in my timeline. In reverse order.

       @osma @phanpy @david_chisnall It is not about presentation.First you cut everyone's thinking into some character limit from SMS era. Then you ask why people have problem adding 2+2, electing circus like in US, etc.Its just not a good culture to limit thought line.

       @mikalai @osma @phanpy @david_chisnall Oh you want to present long content on the Fediverse there are platforms that manage it better (WP + AP plugin, Friendica, probably Ghost …) than a platform that was designed for microblogging.

How about tech bending for writer, i.e. displaying long/short, other tooling, instead of writer bending to tech, i.e. thinking apriori about format, paying even ounce to something not related to content.
