Anyone have any experience with / thought on @nubo_coop? https://nubo.coop/en/Since I can't use my own domain with the e-mail from Posteo, I'm considering switching. #email #nubo #coop

@forteller i recently switched to nubo :blobfoxcheer: it was started by several organisations who work around things like privacy and free software and such. one of them i am also member of, know several of the people, and 100% trust them both in skills to properly run such a service as well as intentions.having said that, it's still young and runs mostly on volunteers. that means that things may not be as fleshed-out as some people may hope or want. my personal needs are covered, i self hosted my mail before my switch and didn't use anything to sync files, agenda or contacts. so for me it's an improvement to what i had, but ymmv.when loging in, there's My Nubo. You can navigate to a part as a coop member, and there's a part with things for your subscription (see screenshot).your subscription allows you to add accounts and add or link domains. you can also choose how much data you assign to your mailbox and how much to nextcloud. you can also set aliasses for mail, and it's possible to set a catch-all for a domain. when linking a domain they also tell you what DNS records to set (more specifically they are the records for dkim, spf, DMARC and MX).Nextcloud allows for syncing files (obviously), and also syncing contacts and agenda. you can also preview and edit documents.i haven't needed support yet, but you get access to a forum and from what i see, I do have the impression that people get proper help from the people who are actively doing work at nubo.
