       The weather window has opened up a bit (i.e., less rain) and I'm heading off to go #backpacking in the White #Mountains, #NewHampshire-- my first such trip this season.  Managed to convince my "partner-in-crime" (Lori) to head into the wilderness with me in spite of the damp forecast.  Will try out our new tent that fits two adults (advertised as a "3-person" tent).   Will be #hiking all the way up a stream to near its origin and camp near the waterfalls.        We just got back from our "waterfest," backpacking in the White Mountains, New Hampshire!  Hiked up two rivers, crossing many small tributaries. Camped near one of the streams, having meals by it and falling asleep listening to the sounds of rushing water. And, the new tent held up against the rain at night!        Hiking deep into the wilderness earlier this week, we saw many dead trees in the forest that were untouched by humans.  Some of the trees, whether they were still standing or already lying on the ground, had beautiful mushrooms growing on them.
