@sandriver The model Stonehenge (made of rocks) in Spinal Tap (rock band) was accidentally 18” high not 18ft high. However, a model of Stonehenge at the model in Spinal Tap size has been deliberately made by researchers at the University of Salford in Manchester to study how sound is amplified by the stones (how rocks affect rock).Open access paper here: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0305440320301394

@sandriver The role of piezoelectric crystal oscillators in rock music cannot be understated, from theramins to music recording, it's a pretty epic story: https://www.rfglobalnet.com/doc/from-theremins-to-synths-the-oscillator-s-musical-odyssey-0001For example: "Good Vibrations" by the Beach Boys was named as such because Brian Wilson invited Paul Tanner to play a homemade electro-theramin, and the U.K. edition of the Rolling Stones' "Between the Buttons" "featured Brian Jones playing with a test oscillator over a Bo Diddley rhythm on the song “Please Go Home.” "
