@Kierkegaanks Had a fellow scout find a baby skunk in the woods once. Against our advice he picked it up. "It's only a baby." Found out even baby skunks can spray.He spent the rest of the weekend trying to to wash the smell off and sitting by himself.

@OrdRadical @Kierkegaanks IIRC, once they're on their own, they're loaded.My ex had a summer job back in university at a forest ranger's station. One of the rangers brought in 3 or 4 skunk kits, after their mum had been hit by a car. Ex looked after them until they could be transferred to a local wildlife centre. After that they'd be released. They followed her around the station and were apparently fun to play with. She's back living in the country, and has a skunk that is a regular visitor, sometimes with kits. They keep a respectful distance, and no issues. She's careful to make noise when leaving the house. Wouldn't want to startle her. Apparently her cat and the mother skunk get on okay too. So far.
