Finally playing around with this wifi Pineapple I bought forever ago and forgot about lol.Its kind of fun, feels more like a toy than anything really, not much you can do with it that you can't do with a Raspberry Pi or Airmon-ng/BettercapIts not the most effective security device considering the state of consumer wifi these days. Obviously https makes snooping near impossible even if you create a successful MITM attack.Idk, I'll add it to my pile of desktop devices, tho I did see on the Hak5 site it was going for about $300 now, def not what I paid for it. I think if anyone was serious about such things a HackRF would be a more interesting and enjoyable purchase. Thank you for coming to my Defcon lecture. cc: @jae @p

@ins0mniak @gray @jae @p pineapples used to be something you would use in offensive security, but since even corporate networks aren't so bad as they used to be and everyone uses a VPN anyway, unless connected on intranet, anyway. They aren't much of any use.

@ins0mniak @jae @phnt @p I think that’s where I saw the Pi Zero W. They were putting a GPS module on it and a battery and using to record SSIDs and location into a database then uploading it.
