       @drmambobob I recall @futurebird used the relationship between marginal and effective tax rates as a calculus example-- a practical application of a "thing nobody uses in real life" to one of the things they claim everybody should be learning, AND it punctures a common mendacious claim about income tax pauperizing you for making too much money.
