There are people who’ve known me for awhile who know this next part but I have a QAnon brother. We haven’t spoken since July 2016 after he chased me around a family event about my lack of support for Trump. He has 6 kids, 3 of which are daughters. @TonyStark Republicans think $5000 is going to make us forget that childbirth is no longer covered by many health insurances, that if anything goes wrong we could be accused of murder, or forced to watch our children suffer or die or die ourselves. And if RFK Jr has his way, the kids could get rounded up and put into camps if they don’t meet their standards. They’re already getting started on that database of autistic people. No thanks.

@lucybeahere @TonyStark Kamala offered a $6000 child tax credit.All the terrible stuff this man is doing, including to the economy. And now he offers $1000 LESS than what Harris did, and it's all over the news. WTF? And it's unlikely he will get this passed, because in a week he will have forgotten about it.

@mls14 And in addition to the $6000 newborn tax credit, Harris wanted to bring back the expanded annual child tax credit we had during the pandemic that raised millions of children out of poverty (but the Republicans refused to extend). That would have allowed a $3600 tax credit per child for ages 1-6 and then $3000 each for kids older than 6. As usual trump is the cheapskate.@lucybeahere @TonyStark

@lucybeahere @TonyStark @bronakins @mls14 Not just unserious, but jaw droppingly stupid. Yelling about what you want and throwing tantrums is for small children, not grown adults. People who dismiss that what other people think and want is also relevant is part of how we got here. Extremism sucks. You don't have to agree w everything, but you do have to learn to myob and live alongside others. People who demand 3 parties & don't know what Citizens United is drive me nuts.

@arbres @lucybeahere @bronakins @mls14 We actually have 3rd parties. They just suck and can’t have a platform that actually appeals to anyone. That one’s for the European accounts that show up here and say “America only has 2 parties.”We have multiple parties, but we don’t live in a parliamentary system so it doesn’t matter and the alternative parties have a horrible or no platform. They’re not better than Democrats who are as a whole good.
