@TonyStark Republicans think $5000 is going to make us forget that childbirth is no longer covered by many health insurances, that if anything goes wrong we could be accused of murder, or forced to watch our children suffer or die or die ourselves. And if RFK Jr has his way, the kids could get rounded up and put into camps if they don’t meet their standards. They’re already getting started on that database of autistic people. No thanks.

@Nonilex I agree that this helps the argument to lower rates, which is convenient for Trump. However, I haven’t seen any information that indicates Trump nominee for the BLS, Antoni, is in place? I suppose someone Trumpy could be in as the temp. It will become more difficult to trust data going forward, for sure.

@Nonilex Israel got their hostages back. Now they can openly continue bombing and starving Gazans, making Israel’s demand for the remains of dead hostages ever more difficult to deliver, so that they can declare the ceasefire void. Netanyahu and his allies must be so pleased. And so Gazans continue to suffer, crushed by the Israeli govt and Hamas.

@Nonilex Interesting choice by Trump, considering that Warsh is more concerned about inflation, and using higher interest rates to control that. As you pointed out from the article, Warsh was completely wrong about how to handle the Great Recession. Warsh would have to do a complete turnaround to be Trump’s stooge. Really dreading Powell’s departure.
