One bit I think he didn't mention is that video games should be in libraries and libraries have and important role to play in ensuring that these massive works of art, music and culture that people love are preserved so people can learn from them and laugh at them in the future. Unless video games are like Broadway shows and you might get to see it, but when it's over it's over tough luck. But you know that going in with a play, right?

@futurebird I assume if you had video games in libraries, you'd also have the means to play them in libraries? That could be tough.

@futurebird Back in physical media days libraries *did* have video games. Was a much more affordable option than Blockbuster or buying new.Also: Many Broadway and Off-Broadway shows get archived.https://www.nypl.org/locations/lpa/theatre-film-and-tape-archive
