Fascinating developments. Kabataang Makabayan (KM) pamphlets found in De La Salle University (DLSU) bathrooms. KM is the youth wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines. As far as unis go, DLSU is one of the posh “bourgeois” ones.

@abolisyonista@ni.hil.ist Could be planted. I think their pamphlets are a lot more colorful than this :sagume_think:

Images of the pamphlets. This chapter seems to be named KM-Guiller Cadano. NPA@56 refers to the 56th anniversary of the New People's Army.

@mima What signs do you think that indicate it was planted? I tend toward it being real.

@abolisyonista@ni.hil.ist The font is too basic, and it's completely black-and-white with no art at all other than the NPA and KM logos. I remember them publishing some pamphlets online that are fully colored and have some artworks on it; that's why I was skeptical. But it looks like the KM has confirmed it is theirs via the party's official PRWC website, so I guess I'm wrong :mima_shrug:https://philippinerevolution.nu/angbayan/mga-estudyante-ng-dlsu-hinimok-ng-km-na-lumahok-sa-digmang-bayan/

@mima I'm sure there are levels and priorities to these things. Likely this is a mostly autonomous cell that doesn't feel the need to spend a lot, maybe because it is a small KM cell.

@abolisyonista@ni.hil.ist Perhaps, yeah. This is La Salle after all, so obviously they won't have the resources typical of an established KM cell. But then if I'm a freshman in DLSU and erase all my political development except for my sympathies with the left I wouldn't see these pamphlets as convincing imo

@abolisyonista@ni.hil.ist Ok now that I see this in full resolution yeah I shouldn't have been skeptical. I can see them using the same serif font (it's also used in the party's weekly newspaper, and the sans-serif there matches up too)
