From a post on Quora:Gary CooperOver 40 years keeping fish.Author has 10.9K answers and 10M answer views7y RelatedIs Mark Zuckerberg Jewish? He is ethnically Jewish. His family roots are Jewish and he was raised and educated in the Jewish faith. But if you’re asking about Mark Zuckerberg’s own religious beliefs, the answer is not as clear. As a young adult, Zuckerberg said he was an atheist. His wife, Priscilla Chan, is a Buddhist Asian-American (her parents were ethnic Chinese refugees from Vietnam), and Zuckerberg is frequently described as being interested in Buddhism and sympathetic to its principles. He does not, as far as I know, call himself a practicing Buddhist. Zuckerberg and his wife met with Pope Francis in 2016, but gave no indication that they had become Catholics, or planned to do so. At Christmas 2016, Zuckerberg responded to the question “Aren’t you an atheist?” with “No. I was raised Jewish and went through a period where I questioned things, but now I believe religion is very important.” So make of that what you will. It seems open to interpretation.
