       From jwz's recent dealings with Patreon.  He was talking about how Patreon puts a "Save membership card" link into a thing that patrons get physically mailed and need to present at the door, but this little extra nugget nails a thing that's wrong with app stores today...When both creators and END users don't want your app, you done goofed.

       @yakkoj Oh yeah, I hate apps in general. Funny cause I'm writing one, but mine is open source and ad free.When I have to use a commercial app, I use a spare phone, also used for development of my app. Most recently, Turo and Starlink. And when I booted my developer phone today, I got two ads from Turo in notification. Thanks for reminding me why I avoid apps.

       @yakkoj They will ban you from the App Store if you tell the customer that via the app. Good thinking using the post office to get around that.
