       One of my favorite bullshits is how they took an old bus front display they had no other use for and stuck it inside of a tram like this. The tram itself only has a number on the outside

       I mean the crazy part is that this is an expensive DOT-LED display, it's not just LED's, but each individual bit is also a magnetically flipped little reflexive material dot, which makes this display technology works amazingly well in all light conditions, including direct light, reflections and everything. Something that doesn't really happen INSIDE of the tram.

       @jackeric it's also this shiny, so the way how half of the names are unreadable because of the ceiling light reflecting in it is very representative of how it looks

       @Zugschlus that too, but in this use, the information is mostly static (it's just the number and destination stop, plus extra middle one), the refresh is also slow, it can't be just flipped at once, it's not really intended for that(which, arguably, is also a downside for in-vehicle information)

       @Zugschlus not really, now incidentally the smaller name is the next stop in this case, but i don't think it's refreshed for all of them, only some selected ones?
