       I think I'm going to give hosting my own Mastodon instance a try. Well, not "self-hosting", but using @mastohost. A lot of people I follow here on Mastodon are using their service and are extremely happy with it. I just need to get myself to decide if I can really afford it before clicking that "Buy Now" button. When you're unemployed, even $9 a month is a lot of money.
