       Pica often sits in ways that are pure comedy. No one should be THAT relaxed.Likewise, #picaTheCat always looks annoyed if we laugh at her. However we must consider her bad case of "resting annoyed/superior face" So, it is hard to know if I'm just projecting this reaction on to her. And Yet. I think she *knows* she isn't in the loop and that annoys her. If you laugh at your cat, how do they tend to respond?

       @futurebird I am a loud laugher and sometimes I spook my beautiful perfect scaredy-cat princess. His sister fears nothing and does not care at all if I laugh at her. I am including a photo because I need you to understand how tragic it is to spook the cat on the left. He is so beautiful and sweet 😭

       @mees He was about to type out a poem of heart aching beauty and poignance, but she destroyed his confidence and now? We shall never see that poem. But I suspect it went a little like thisjjjjjjnnnnnmmmmmm.zxxcccccccc ccc    cccd.   ddff .   alas we can only try to imagine what has been lost because budding artist was smothered.

       @futurebird My cat’s deaf, so I think her happy reaction to being laughed at stems from laughing making me squint or close my eyes, so she thinks I’m slowblinking at her.

       @futurebirdI only laugh at my cats, when they are so preoccupied with something else (like hunting their own tail), that they don't notice...

       @futurebird Our cat is good at reading human moods. So if the people in the room seem to be interacting amiably, she gets a very contented or relaxed look. Volume doesn't seem to factor in as much.
